In the historical center of Leeuwarden, you will find a Chinese restaurant with almost 50 years of delicious history.
A restaurant with intriguing history that was most notably started by a man of resilience named K.H. Chen who started one of the first Chinese restaurants in Leeuwarden, in the old building of the well known supermarket “De Gruyter” and the nostalgic candyshop “Jamin” next door.
A restaurant with dedicated staff where the people of Leeuwarden are able enjoy delicious and fresh Chinese cuisine with locally sourced meats and vegetables.
Lastly, we want you to feel at home with no time constraint after you finished your meal and see the restaurant as a place where you can enjoy yourself accompa- nied with good food.
Delicious authentic cuisine from South-East China
Fresh ingredients are supplied by our local partners with proven reputation in Friesland (e.g. vegetable & meat farm from Damwâld, Dokkum, Drachten, Kollummerzwaag and last but not least Sligro Leeuwarden).
The passion of being a Chef
Leading the kitchen you will find Chef Zeng and his brigade, a Chef with over 30 years of experience in a diverse variety of Asian cuisines. With Garden of Asia our specialty being dishes from the South-Eastern part of China being:
“Home-roasted Beijing duck, savory slow braised ribs, Crispy TangCu fish filets, Fresh seasonal Chinese vegetables, Yu Hsiang Rou Si (finely diced pork meat) and Oven roasted pork belly and Sing-Chow egg fried rice and many more”.
Besides the specialties our restaurant also offers our Dutch clients the traditional Dutch-Indonesian classics such as Babi Pangang, Foe Yong hai and Nasi Rames. All dishes are freshly made upon ordering with ingredients being sourced as locally as possible.
